Product Design & Integration Senior Staff Engineer

What we expect

Lead package design meeting customer requirement
Create drawings and validate design concepts to determine the best product
Lead technical risk assessment/brainstorming and design simulation of product/design ideas with relevant team members
Work with cross functional team to create and test prototype to validate design.
Liaise closely with Application Engineering team.
Understand and incorporate LED packaging technology, reliability requirements and design guidelines into product designs.
Lead investigation and analysis of technical issues and active involvement in implementation of solutions for design improvement.
Molding Process knowledge will be added benefit
Drive innovative and low capital cost measures to improve product process profitability.

Who we are looking for

Bachelor's Degree or Master of Engineering (Mechatronic/ Electromechanical), Physics or equivalent.
At least 3-5 years of working experience in the relevant field.
Preferably with LED or Semiconductor design and Package/Product Development knowledge.
Preferably with Molding/Casting/Encapsulation process knowledge.
Data analysis skills are required. Knowledge of GDT, Solidworks and AutoCad will be an advantage. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint required.
Must have good interpersonal skills and very good communication skills to liaise between different departments/groups.
Strong analytical skill, systematic problem-solving approach skill (6sigma), statistical knowledge, very careful and detailed-oriented personality.

Step 1

Job search

Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
