IT Senior Engineer (System Development and Support)

What we expect

Perform detailed analysis of business requirements and provide appropriate system solutions. Identify, interpret, validate and document business requirements.
Map business requirements, processes and objectives. Develop, customize and configure necessary system modifications, perform testing and document results.
Act as the liaison between IT technical team and business functions to ensure requirements and progress are communicated accurately and timely. Work with business functions in problem solving and troubleshooting. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.
Handle changes or emergency transports as needed for high priority issues. Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements. Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects.
Willingness to understand complex semiconductor processes, document them accordingly and hand over the implementation to development team.

Who we are looking for

Bachelor/Master or above in Microelectronics, Physics or comparable.
Min 3 years of experience in semiconductor industry experience in both frontend and backend (LED) test.
Deep understanding of semiconductor (LED) test, optics and electrical; requirements Engineering, Agile methodology, SQL , Oracle, Windows Server and software development basics advantageous.
Need to be highly motivated to take initiative, assume the ownership of the applications and projects, and provide a strong interface between users and IT/vendor and a Team Player.
Good English is mandatory.

Step 1

Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
