What we expect

As a Digital Twin specialist intern, you will work closely with Industry Engineering, IT, Capacity Planning, Production, Automation and Maintenance departments to:

Develop analytic and real-time Digital Twin Simulation Models and apply Data Engineering, Data Analysis and AI for Smart Factory implementation to:

Mirror and predict multi/mixed products output performance and identify bottlenecks for improvement
Predict and optimize resources needed for cost savings and decision-making for capital investment and return on investment
Analyze and improve operator and technician utilization to reduce cost
Analyze and improve machine utilization to reduce capital investment
Analyze and improve production cycle time

Who we are looking for

Requirements:

• Undergraduate with Degree in Engineering and/or with specialization in Simulation, Robotics, Automation, Data Analytics
• Proficiency in Flexsim, SQL, Python, Excel, Statistics, and Data Analytics
• Good knowledge of Power BI, Tableau
• Good understanding of the relationship between technology and business
• Experience in Flexsim simulation, data analytics
• Knowledge in robotics and automation, industry engineering, Lean Six Sigma
• Exposure to the field of manufacturing, Semiconductor preferred

Must Have:
• Undergraduate of Engineering, specialization in Simulation, Robotics, Automation, and Data Analytics
• Proficiency in Flexsim, SQL, Python, Excel
• Good Statistical and Data Analytics knowledge is preferred
• Sensitive to data integrity and understand the importance of data quality to generate accurate data analysis
• Ability to create a simulation model and dashboard. Coordinate the entire workflow from concept to full implementation
• Ability to display a structural thought process in analytics, modeling and scenario studies
• Exposure to industry 4.0 technology/IoT, AI, etc

Nice to have:
• Ability to drive operational metrics data accuracy, and improvement.
• Knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, or statistical analytics tools
• Exposure in Manufacturing Industries

Personal Qualities:
• Possess good logical thinking, uses reasoning skills to objectively study problems, make rational conclusion on how to proceed next step
• Good analytical skills with the ability to break down and solve complex problems
• Patient and able to work independently with adequate supervision
• Passion for technology and innovation

From receiving your documents to acceptance: the application process

Step 1

Job search

You have found your desired position on our job board? On this page you will find a link at the end of the position description that will take you to our applicant portal. You haven't found the right position yet and would like to send us your unsolicited application? - Simply create your candidate profile in our applicant portal. We will be happy to inform you about jobs that match your profile via our "Job Alert". Would you like to check the current status of your application? Then you can track it directly in your candidate profile under "Job applications". Our goal is to provide you with a great experience and maximum transparency in our application process.

Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
