Algorithm Development Engineer (d/m/f)

What we expect
- Develop algorithms for data-driven applications and optical-sensor-based products, especially Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors
- Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis on large and small datasets
- Design, prototype, and validate algorithms in Python or MATLAB
- Apply machine learning, statistical modeling, and signal/data processing techniques
- Optimize algorithms for efficiency, scalability, and deployment in real-world environments
- Improve existing algorithmic solutions and develop new methods for enhanced performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust data-driven solutions
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for reproducibility and long-term maintainability
Who we are looking for
- Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, algorithm development, or related roles
- Strong skills in MATLAB and/or Python for algorithm design and data analysis
- Experience working with diverse datasets (both large-scale and small-scale)
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, numerical analysis, and data interpretation
- Solid background in signal processing and sensor data analysis; direct experience with ToF sensors
- Experience with machine learning and model evaluation desirable
- C/C++ porting of algorithms to embedded platforms considered an advantage
- Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on delivering practical, high-quality solutions
