Verification & Characterization Senior Staff Engineer

What we expect

Provide electrical & optical characterization & verification support to R&D and other internal customers.
Ensure state of the art lab capability and apply latest scientific measurement technics to support company product roadmap.
Ensure delivery of high quality test/measurement results and reports required in accordance with the product specification for the generation of product datasheet.
Analyze product test/measurement data and translate them into specifications to ensure device performance and quality.
Scientific and technical advisor to R&D and other internal customers on product electro optical characterization.

Who we are looking for

Bachelor/Master/ PhD Degree in Science/ Engineering. Photonics will be added advantage.
Min 5 years experience in electronics/ semiconductor industry with in depth hands on experience in test development/ engineering.
Experience in integrating or developing electronics test and measurement instrument or semiconductor ATE is required.
Experience in LED/ Light Sensor is required.
Experience in laboratory works will be added advantage.
Able to work in a team & carry out task independently.
Experience working with international counterparts on technology transfer is required.
Intermediate level - knowledge in LED/ Semiconductor testing is required.
Intermediate level - Electronics or Semiconductors testing/ characterization is required.
Intermediate level - Microsoft Office. Python, C#, Visual Basic, LabVIEW is added advantage.
Intermediate level - Clear communication skills. Well versed in English.
Intermediate level - Able to provide technical sharing to large technical audience.

Step 1

Job search

You have found your desired position on our job board? On this page you will find a link at the end of the position description that will take you to our applicant portal. Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
