Your tasks
-Define, align, and execute the conversion and package material strategy and technology roadmap in line with global R&D and business strategies.
-Lead the R&D material team to develop LED assembly materials and phosphor steering technologies for new and existing products.
-Own R&D material programs and projects, including gate and technical release responsibility for material R‑, T‑, and X‑projects.
-Drive continuous improvement of material solutions in cost, quality, and performance to maintain a competitive product portfolio.
-Define and manage R&D budgets, resources, and daily departmental operations for material development activities.
-Support industrialization and ensure successful transfer and release of material solutions into backend (BE) production.
-Act as the main interface between global R&D material, product development, operations, and backend manufacturing in China.
-Develop and maintain the material IP portfolio and contribute to package and process technology trees and roadmaps.
-Ensure material governance and compliance with sustainability, EHS, and environmental requirements while fostering internal and external collaboration.
-Define department's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and to ensure all are on-track.
-Supervising, coaching, managing and motivating department members on a day-to-day basis.
-Maintain department training matrix together with Human Resource (HR), plan training budget and training execution.
-Continuous improvement of team’s efficiency and quality measure.
-Develop and maintain close cooperation with R&D, BE production and quality.
Who we are looking for
-Bachelor or above in Material/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering related Science and Engineering major
-Minimum 10 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry and/ or material technology
-Experience in the backend semiconductor and LED industry is preferred
-Leading large group of operative staff with span of control more than 10 direct reports
-Has developed resilient networking among peers and strives to expand them beyond functional and regional boundaries
-Experience in provides consultation, guidance and work direction to others. Experience in cross functional project management
