Your tasks
As Head of Industrial Engineering (d/m/f) you will act as the interface between strategy and execution, driving data-based insights and enabling fact-driven decision processes across the organization.
You will ensure that production systems are designed and operated to meet customer demand efficiently, predictably and sustainably by translating business objectives into capacity plans, investment strategies and performance improvements.
At the same time, you will take ownership of further shaping and developing Industrial Engineering as a key enabling function within a semiconductor environment. Building on an already established foundation, you will actively drive the next phase of its evolution - expanding its scope, strengthening its strategic impact, and embedding it more deeply across the organization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and further develop Industrial Engineering as a key driver of efficiency, productivity and operational predictability
- Translate strategic targets into actionable capacity, cost and investment Frameworks
- Develop and continuously enhance capacity models and simulation tools for mid- and long-term planning
- Lead CapEx planning and evaluation, including structured business case development, end-of-life equipment strategy and prioritization
- Enable stakeholders with fact-based input for investment decision processes
- Define and implement optimized production layouts aligned with technology roadmap and business growth to enable efficiency, scalability and fabrication performance
- Lead and drive cross-functional projects across operations, engineering, supply chain and finance
- Establish and maintain robust data foundations and KPIs for capacity, capex and performance
Who we are looking for
- Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Semiconductor Engineering or related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) in semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech production environments
- Strong background in capacity planning & modeling, data analysis and simulation as well as CapEx / business case development
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional and strategic initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and business functions
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complexity into clear, structured insights
- Proactive, structured and results-driven working style
- Proficiency in English is required, German language skills are a strong advantage
