Staff Engineer, Manufacturing Test Engineering

Your tasks

  • Establish robust test architectures that guarantee accuracy, repeatability, and full coverage of product requirements
  • Drive structured problem‑solving (8D, DMAIC, PDCA) for chronic test and product issues
  • Introduce advanced automation, data analytics, and test methodologies that improve yield and throughput.
  • Elevate test performance through system optimization, OEE improvements, and cost‑reduction initiatives. Improve test cycle time, equipment uptime, and test coverage
  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers and technicians
  • Ensure test platforms are highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable across multiple lines or sites.
  • Serve as the technical lead for test readiness, from NPI to mass production and EOL

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in handling mix signal devices test resolution
  • Demonstrated track record of yield/cycle time/OEE improvement and cost down initiatives.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting LTX-Credence X Series or Diamond X tester platforms, with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor test environments.
  • Knowledgeable in semiconductor test platforms including Advantest V93K, Teradyne MicroFlex, Teradyne UltraFlex, Teradyne J750, and NI PXI,
  • Knowledgeable in wafer-level and and package-level hardware, including probe cards (vertical, MEMS and cantilever), load boards,test sockets, probers such as TEL and ElectroGlass (EG), and handlers from Cohu, Advantest, and Multitest.

From receiving your documents to acceptance: the application process

Step 1

Job search

You have found your desired position on our job board? On this page you will find a link at the end of the position description that will take you to our applicant portal. You haven't found the right position yet and would like to send us your unsolicited application? - Simply create your candidate profile in our applicant portal. We will be happy to inform you about jobs that match your profile via our "Job Alert". Would you like to check the current status of your application? Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Onboarding
