What we expect

Responsible for product definition, requirements identification, architectural choices, related to optical sensors in consumer applications
Drive the implementation of Proof of Concept (POC) and customer demos. Hands-on support of hardware and software development. Study of mechanical solutions and system integration of demo material
Feasibility study of new products in innovative optical sensing application spaces
Define and deliver comprehensive competitive analysis with electrical measurements and physical teardowns
Coordinate and interface with other cross-functional teams, i.e. IC-architects, IC design, packaging, applications engineering, test development, project management, field applications, etc. to develop complex, integrated system level solutions
Technical Interface to customers on system level and device level

Who we are looking for

University degree in Electronics, Physics or comparable, ideally with experience in the semiconductor industry, with focus on optical sensors applications
Technical problem solving and analytics skills at Integrated Circuit (IC) system board level, spanning across software and hardware
Familiarity with programming, e.g. Python
Strong analytical and technical background on mixed-signal solutions, understanding of circuits and systems
Familiarity with standard and optical lab equipment, validation and test methodology, data analysis
Experience in light sensing, camera imaging, Time-Of-Flight (TOF) sensors and complex system platform development for consumer applications
Outstanding leadership, customer oriented personality, presentation skills and excellent written/verbal communication
Proficient in English

Step 1

Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
