Staff Engineer, Product Design & Simulations

What we expect

Designer of module developed for consumer, industrial and automotive sensing market and conduct design assessment (feasibility, concept, risks) for all new product design product.
Deep knowledge in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and COMSOL (or any other equivalent) Software hence, able to create 3D model, 2D drawing and conducting FEA simulations for any given design
Leading design review for internal and external customer’s design and provide DFM feedback/suggestion based on design tolerance analysis, vendor’s DFM and in-house process manufacturing capabilities.
Work closely with cross functional teams such as product engineering, process engineering, IQC, SQE, APQ, and OQC team during product development phase to ensure the build deliveries per project schedule.
Support Rel lab for test socket and test board design by project.
Conduct tooling design (PnP collet, JEDEC/Waffle tray) check & buyoff via TA & 3D model simulation.

Who we are looking for

Degree/master’s in mechanical engineering or Materials Engineering
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a must.
Experience in Altium/Cadence for PCB test board routing (electrical background) design would be a plus point.
With substrate and flex printed circuit (FPC) design knowledge (understand the design rules).
With PCBA knowledge: PCB dicing, die attach, wire bond process, wire bond encapsulation etc.M41
Experience in packaging in transfer molding or compression molding technology would be plus point.

Step 1

Job search

Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
