What we expect

Work closely with data scientists, business analysts and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data models.
Collaborate with data architects to design and implement cloud-based data solutions that align with business needs.
Facilitate internal knowledge sharing to ensure team members are informed about the latest best practices
Implement scalable and robust data pipelines from various enterprise source systems like SAP, Salesforce or similar
Apply business rules and transformations using SQL or Python.
Secure data models applying object and row level security.
Develop and document best practices and ensure they are effectively implemented across the team
Analyze and address issues related to data integrity, data design and both functional and technical aspects of the Cloud Data Warehouse.
Communicate effectively about issues, solutions, and best practices with relevant stakeholders.
Perform cost and performance-based optimization of data transfer processes.
Continuously monitor and improve the efficiency and performance of data pipelines.

Who we are looking for

Minimum 5 years of related working experience with cloud data warehouse technologies, preferably Snowflake and/or Databricks
Hands-on experience in data warehouse modelling preferably with data vault 2.0 and/or star schema
In-depth understanding of relational databases (SQL) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks
Experienced in data staging with SQL and Python, data visualization with tools such as PowerBI, data integration using Apache NiFi, Theobald Universal Xtract, and Azure Data Factory, as well as orchestrating data pipelines with dbt and Apache Airflow.
Good understanding of agile methodologies like SCRUM.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to communicate project goals and objectives, project status and deliverables with senior executives. Participate with the management team in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization.
Problem-solving attitude and excellent communication skills
Fluent in English for communicating with global teams and stakeholders.

From receiving your documents to acceptance: the application process

Step 1

Job search

You have found your desired position on our job board? On this page you will find a link at the end of the position description that will take you to our applicant portal. You haven't found the right position yet and would like to send us your unsolicited application? - Simply create your candidate profile in our applicant portal. We will be happy to inform you about jobs that match your profile via our "Job Alert". Would you like to check the current status of your application? Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
