Functional Safety Engineer (d/m/f)

What we expect
- Develop and maintain the project safety plan in coordination with project management and engineering teams
- Create functional safety concepts and technical safety concepts
- Derive safety requirements from safety concepts and define safety strategies to address random hardware failures
- Define system safe states, transitions, and perform failure analysis for interfaces
- Conduct design safety analysis including FMEA, FTA for systematic failures across system, software, and hardware levels
- Lead functional safety meetings with customers and act as an interface between customer safety organizations and engineering departments
- Prepare test case specifications for functional safety validation
- Maintain Development Interface Agreement (DIA) with customers
- Compile safety cases and perform hazard analysis and risk assessments
Who we are looking for
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in functional safety within the automotive industry
- Proficient understanding of ISO26262 and its application in product development
- Experience with safety analysis tools and methodologies (FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Communication skills and proficiency in English
