Engineer (SAP ABAP Development)

What we expect
- Writing and Enhancing ABAP code for SAP applications, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Implement and maintain the integrations between SAP modules, between SAP systems and external systems using RFC, IDOCs and SOAP protocols.
- Identifying and fixing issues in ABAP programs through debugging and testing.
- Providing support for existing applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing necessary changes or updates.
- Conduct performance analysis of ABAP programs, optimize SQL queries, ABAP reports, and system processes for optimal speed and efficiency.
- Working with cross functional-teams, including functional consultants, business analyst and Key experts, to design and implement scalable solutions.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Min 2+ years experience in SAP ABAP Development.
- SAP development and support experience in Semiconductor(high-tech) manufacturing industry will be added advantage.
- Proven expertise in ABAP programming, including Advanced ABAP, Reports, Forms (Smart forms/Adobe), Enhancements, BADI, User Exits, and Dialog Programming.
- Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in workflow and web dynpro development is preferable.
- Having S4HANA development skillset CDS, RAP and Fiori is added advantage.
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
- Expertise in building and maintaining the interfaces with RFC, BAPI , IDoc, and SOAP / REST web services for integration purposes.
- Experience in Odata developments and API integration.
- Skills in optimizing ABAP code for performance, including SQL tuning, buffering techniques, and code efficiency.
- Sound knowledge in SAP modules - SD, MM, PP, Logistics and FI/CO .
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Perform thorough unit testing to ensure program functionality and prepare the test results and technical documentation for future support purpose.
- Experience in working in Agile development environments and working knowledge with the tools like JIRA.
- Participate in peer reviews, document the lessons learnt in the internal wiki and share the tactical knowledge with the team on regular basis.
