IT Infrastructure & Workplace Engineer
Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia – OSRAM OS Penang
What we expect
- Will be a member of the IT Frontend Local Services Kulim team and work closely with the Central IT team in the delivery of assigned and approved IT Systems solutions.
- Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP.
- Provides leadership, technical direction, coaching, and trainings to local and remote IT support staff.
- Collaborate closely with Infosec team to prevent, mitigate, and resolve IT security incidents. Assist Infosec in enforcing security guideline and processes across the organization.
- Analyzes business needs and establishes priorities for infrastructure design and implementation.
- Analyzes performance gaps; initiates and proposes projects to enhance system quality. Supports or guides agreed projects.
- Drive IT operation to deliver high quality solutions and services.
- Cooperates with vendors in qualifying their products and services.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Experience working in multinational company and providing IT support in manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting different client OS and hardware.
- Comfortable using programming language such as Python or PowerShell to automate processes, facilitate data collection or mass configuration update.
- Experience with designing workplace solutions with seamless user experience in mind.
- Experience in planning and implementing cyber security measures, as well as troubleshoot security incidents using advanced cyber security tools.
- Knowledge in ITIL framework and hands on experience with ServiceNow and JIRA preferable.
- Demonstrates successes in technical proficiency and independent thought. Works on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Demonstrate strong skills in communication, leadership, problem solving and collaboration.
