Development Engineer (d/m/f) Technology Benchmarking

What we expect
- Analysis of competitor LED and Laser products for automotive, industrial and consumer applications
- Identification and execution of relevant technology deep dives for epi, chip, package and materials
- Coordination (internal and external laboratories) and evaluation of experiments (e.g. electro-optical characterization, material analysis, EDX, X-Ray, SIMS, TEM)
- Alignment and information sharing with RnD departments, Strategy and Marketing
- Compilation of internal benchmarking reports for RnD and business lines
Who we are looking for
- Degree in Physics, electrical engineering or a comparable technical/scientific course of study, PhD is an advantage
- Several years of experience in the semiconductor industry
- Ideally knowledge of Python and VBA for Excel programming
- Expertise in optical and semiconductor characterization techniques
- Very good knowledge in the field of metrology and material analysis
- Very good communication and teamwork skills
- Business fluent knowledge of English and fluent in German
