Corporate Accounting Manager

This position within Country Finance provides oversight to the accounting functions for all Osram business units and entities with a focus on the management and accounting for the Corporate functions. It has accountability for delivering accurate, timely and reconciled financial statements in accordance with the Osram consolidation deadlines for each closing cycle. In addition, special projects will be part of the tasks. In collaboration with the Finance Director and the rest of the Accounting and Finance team, this position supports the management, and operational teams of Osram and its business entities.

Responsibility Statement:

• Help to manage the monthly close process across all Osram business segments and subsidiaries
• A focus of the position is the Corporate business units and entails account reconciliations, journal entry posting, provision management and financial review
• Problem solving and guidance giving across all business segments in accordance with Osram financial guidelines and regulations
• Help to prepare financial statements to support the monthly consolidation reporting process along with the necessary review to comply with reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
• Inter-company transaction reconciliation and management
• Provide information and perform ad-hoc analyses to assist senior management.
• Back up transactional accounting positions to ensure business continuity
• Help organize and participate in the annual and quarterly financial audits
• Finance representative on SAP projects
• Financial analysis for ad-hoc projects

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, amp; Abilities:

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business Management discipline
• Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years' of related accounting and finance experience is required
• Experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a huge plus
• Extensive experience utilizing SAP and ability to learn business intelligence tools implemented by the business
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to learn and work with additional software as needed to support the financial reporting and daily operations of the Accounting Department
