Associate Engineer (Quality)

What we expect

Set up and sustain physical, electrical, chemical failure analysis equipment and operation such as optical microscope, SEM/FIB/TEM with EDX, AFM, SIMS according project timeline and department KPI according to department tool/job distribution matrix.
Perform failure analysis on company and competitor product using above FA methods for requests such as from new product introduction, production failures, yield improvement, reliability failures, and customer returns.
Compile data and write FA report, shift report when applicable.
Continually improving Failure Analysis works to ensure its efficiency and compliance.
Sustain laboratory activities & actively provide technical advice and guidance to others when applicable.
Ensure compliance (e.g. 5S, safety, ESD, cost compliance, radiation protection, laser protection, passing audit and deviation correction). Foster collaboration and positive culture. Foster collaboration and positive culture.
Perform other tasks as required by superiors.

Who we are looking for

Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering, science principles or equivalent.
At least with 3 years working experience in laboratory operation environment.
Experience in laboratories accreditation MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Experience with Semiconductor FA methods.
Knowledge in Frontend (FE) technology and processing will be an advantage.
Knowledge in Optical Semiconductors Failure Analysis.
Fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken) & able to work under minimum supervision.

Step 1

Job search

Step 2

Online application

You simply register on our applicant portal and receive access data with which you log in. In the application form, you only have to fill out a few fields and can upload important documents such as cover letter, resume or certificates. This usually takes 5 - 10 minutes. As soon as your application has been successfully saved in our applicant portal, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. The individual review of your documents by HR and the department usually takes two to four weeks.

Step 3

Phone interview

If your profile is suitable for the advertised position, we will invite you to a telephone interview.

Step 4

First personal interview

You have aroused our interest! Now we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to a first interview. In this interview, you will talk to your potential manager and the recruiter about your opportunities at ams OSRAM and your skills and professional experience. The time between the telephone interview and the first personal interview is usually one to two weeks.

Step 5

Second personal interview

If the first interview goes well for you and for us, you are on the shortlist. It is very likely that we will invite you to a further interview: Often there is a need for further clarification after the first interview, in terms of content or organization, which we can then discuss. The time span between the first and the second personal interview is usually two weeks.

Step 6

Starting out with us

We have reached an agreement and the contractual issues are settled? - Welcome to ams OSRAM! The time span between the second personal interview and the conclusion of the contract is usually one to two weeks.

Step 7

Onboarding

We look forward to welcoming you on your first day at work. With our onboarding measures we actively support you to quickly find your way in the ams OSRAM world. You will soon be able to concentrate fully on your new projects and tasks.
